Maybe a few readers will end up here from the same types of searches I did. Wondering if Windows 8 will run on my old hardware.
After reading several articles of “Don’t do it” and “You’ll be sorry” I did the obvious and went for it. This is a brief post on my thoughts of Windows 8, from purchase to install and a few hours of use.
Friend needed this file today. With limited time (about 10 minutes) I put this together. CS3 PSD Contents – device like shape, top time bar, nothing else of the UI.

A short tutorial creating an interactive flow chart with Captivate and PowerPoint.
Adobe offers a thousand ways to accomplish any one task, but most e-learning developers and ID’s are limited in software options.
Two very common programs found in the training environment include Captivate and MS Office. Software for this tutorial is Captivate 5 and MS Office (or Keynote). Read More
Error #2044: Unhandled IOErrorEvent:. text=Error #2036: Load Never Completed.
This error recently reared its ugly head every time I previewed the movie (Ctrl + Alt + Enter). Nothing in the Google world or usual forums I visit had an answer. Read MoreBlog, E-Learning Developement, Portfolio tagged by Patrick
Currently working on an annual course, every year the content changes little. Looks however are usually pretty drastic. Last year a colleague created a fairly animated baseball piece. Her efforts really brought a normally drab and repetitive project some much needed excitement. Time in 2011 is just not a luxury we can afford thus a shorter time window calls for sourcing. It’s a welcome feeling the enjoyment experienced when just messing around in software. Trying to see if I could replicate a shape resulted in this little experiment. Oddly touching into current affairs? if so not intended. Playing with shapes may have been wise but the type play not so much. This must be something referenced out of my subconscious, not very unique in any way but a feeling of familiarity.Networking, Portfolio, Travel tagged Aaron Draplin, Austin, Born to Lose, Dale Dixon, DDC, Draplin Design, Evan Rose, Klinck, Natchet Taylor, New Disaster by Patrick
Thursday up to Austin to listen to Aaron Draplin from Draplin design. That night he was out in the crowd shaking hands chatting with DJ Stout and attendees in general. Rare opportunity to be introduced to integral parts of the Draplin crew Dale Dixon and Evan Rose. The presentation was hilarious serious and enlightening. Friday woke early headed to breakfast with Great friend Natchet Taylor of New Disaster fame. The rest of the afternoon we were joined by Klinck from Born to Lose who by the way are heading out on Euro tour soon. Great times great friends. Friday nights Print Addiction event was incredible, I picked up four Draplin Designs fresh off the press screen printed t shirts. Shook hands with Draplin and chatted for bit about design passion and anything else we could fill in. Pulling away from the curb at Lewis Carnegie you couldn’t pry the grin from my face! For the first time in a number of years I feel excited and reinvigorated about design.Ideation, Personal, Portfolio tagged by Patrick

With a showing like tonight the future AIGA-SA chapter is very bright. From the sponsors, guest speaker Brian Flynn, volunteers it was a great event. It was my pleasure to donate munnys to the event and hope their eventual sale benefits AIGA-SA.
Stellar entries from so many local designers, the talent pool here in SA is definitely filled.
Must send a congrats out to Gabriel Estrada whose gold munny took home the trophy.
Look forward to adding my AIGA membership to the SA chapter.
