Well Everyone Else Is (obligatory IPad post)

on Jan 27 in Blog, Personal tagged , , , , by Patrick

Sad very sad state indeed. Apple had the ball heading right for uprights then that sucker pulled wide right. Was it wind? nope just one awfully bad kick.

This device really had me jazzed, but it seems Apple thinks it can ride the “Bring out some base model and load it up over few years” train. IMO I dont think it will fly.

Iphone and Itouch users alike experienced this with each update. Owners of the devices took the lumps with early adoption and watched the device slowly become what at minimal it should have been on day one.

It seems with the IPad Apple has become complacent with the product love afforded them by their fan base. Cupertino has ears everywhere, many speculative issues where addressed, price, size, speed, accessibility. Yet Apple was not really listening. Apple Consumers don’t want a product, more accurately will not accept a product which has not resolved and considered problems already posed by the products cousins (i.e. Iphone and Itouch obviously).

Apple has created a cavity for itself and they are stuck in it. Passing on this one until Gen 2, I feel assured many others will join me.
